Our Charity Work

One of the main aims of the Club is to assist those less fortunate than ourselves through our annual charity work.

2009 Charity Event

This year (2009) we raised funds for COMBAT STRESS, the charity for ex-servicemen with wounds to the mind.

To mark the 65th anniversaries of the Operation Tiger, the tragic excercise that happened of the coast of Slapton Sands, in Devon during the run up to the Normandy invasion, the D-Day landings themselves, Club Chairman Ade and Web Administrator, Darren supported by Club Treasurer Kerry walked in WW2 US Infantry uniform from the Excercise Tiger memorial in Torcross, along the D-Day training area at Slapton Sands to the Landing Craft Ramps at Brixham.

The final figure hasn`t yet been worked out, but currently over £500 has been raised.
